How to Post an Image to a D2L Discussion Topic using an iPhone

Here are the steps to post an image to a D2L Brightspace discussion topic using an iPhone. If you attempt to upload through your Photo Library it will use an incompatible .HEIC file type, so please follow these instructions:

Instructions

  1. Navigate to D2L in your iPhone browser. (Link to D2L login page)
  2. Click 'Sign On', follow these login instructions. (Link to Knowledge base article on how to log in)
  3. Once logged in, navigate to your class that you want to post in.
  4. Find the discussion topic to post in, either under 'Content' or 'Discussions'.
  5. In the Topic, click 'Start a New Thread'.

  6. Enter a subject.
  7. Enter text (if desired) to accompany the photo you are posting (Be sure to follow any instructions your instructor has given for the discussion).
  8. Click 'Add Attachments'.

  10. Choose "Take photo or video"

  11. Take a photo with your iPhone camera.
  12. Click 'Use Photo'.
  13. Click the 'Post' button.
