Employees Who Are Also Students: Sign-In Instructions

Problem

If you are an employee who is also a student, use your student username (MinnState username) to sign in to D2L Brightspace instead of your employee username.

Steps

  1. Enter your student username in this format: ab1234cd@go.minnstate.edu. (StarID@go.minnstate.edu)
  2. Enter your StarID password.
  3. If you cannot sign in, open a private browsing window to rule out browser-related issues.
    • In Chrome, select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, then select New Incognito Window.
    • In Microsoft Edge, select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner, then select New InPrivate Window.
  4. In the private browsing window, enter your student username and StarID password.
  5. Try signing in again.
  6. If you still cannot sign in,  IT Service Desk  for assistance.
