StarID

How to see and reset your StarID

Your StarID is your primary login for Minnesota State and Saint Paul College systems.

  1. View the step-by-step instructions (first button) or watch the instructional video (second button).
  2. Open StarID Self Service (third button).
  3. Follow the screen prompts and save your username (StarID) and password securely.
  4. If you need additional help, check the 1st and 2nd buttons for a step-by-step guide

Update StarID notification email

Update the email used for password resets and StarID alerts.
Update your Primary contact information.

  1. Sign in to StarID Self Service. Use your StarID and StarID password.
  2. Choose Profile or Notification Email settings.
  3. Add your preferred email and confirm the change.
  4. If you need additional help, check the 2nd and 3rd buttons to get a step by step guide.

D2L Brightspace

Navigate D2L Brightspace

D2L Brightspace is where you find New Student Orientation, online classes, assignments, grades, quizzes, course news, and class materials.

  1. Open D2L Brightspace.
  2. Sign in with yourStarID@go.minnstate.edu and password. If prompted to set up MFA, follow the instructions in the red box.
  3. Select your course from the homepage.
  4. Check Content, Assignments, Grades, and Announcements.

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)

Use this only if this is your first time signing in to D2L Brightspace or if prompted to set up MFA.

Microsoft 365 Applications

Log in to student email

Use Microsoft 365 for Outlook (email), Word (documentation), Excel (spreadsheets), PowerPoint (presentations), OneDrive (file storage), Teams, and class communication.

  1. Click the button below.
  2. Sign in with yourStarID@go.minnstate.edu.
  3. Open Outlook for email.

Install Microsoft 365

Installing Microsoft 365 can help you access Microsoft 365 apps like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel without an Internet connection.

Eduroam Wi-Fi

Connect your device to campus Wi-Fi using Eduroam. Your username is yourStarID@go.minnstate.edu. The buttons below will show you how to connect to Eduroam depending on your device type.

BankMobile

Set up your refund preference and financial aid disbursement options after receiving a green envelope in the mail and by email from BankMobile with a personal code. When signing up, use your personal email.

EAB Navigate

Access important student tools, schedule appointments, connect with advisors, and stay updated on your academic progress through EAB Navigate. You will get access after registering for classes.

eServices

Use eServices to register for classes, check tuition, pay bills, view grades, and manage student records, including updating your personal email, which is located under Account Management, then Demographic Info at the bottom of the page.

Device Loaner Request

The Loaner Device Program is available to currently enrolled Saint Paul College students. To qualify, you must be registered for the current or upcoming semester. Eligible students may request a loaner laptop and/or Wi-Fi hotspot.

Please watch the video below for step-by-step instructions on how to request a loaner device before submitting your request.

DO NOT SUBMIT MULTIPLE HANDRAISE OR LOANER DEVICE REQUESTS.

Important: Please be aware that our supply of loaner laptops is limited. Submitting a request does not guarantee that a device will be available.

Please wait for a confirmation email with pickup instructions before coming to campus. We will contact you as soon as your request has been reviewed.

FREE for all enrolled students

Need help with your classes? The Academic Support Centers offer FREE tutoring for Saint Paul College students in-person and online.Get assistance with Math, Writing, Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry,Business, Economics, Study Skills, Technology, and many other subjects.Most on-campus tutoring is available without an appointment.

Need step-by-step help using college technology?
Academic Support Centers can also help you learn how to use D2LBrightspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Microsoft 365, and other technology used in your classes.
