Setting up VitalSource External Links to Textbook Materials in D2L

Within the D2L Brightspace course, navigate to the Content tool.

Select a module into which the Tool will be placed. If no such module exists, please create a
new module called “Direct Digital Course Materials” into which to place the Tool.

Within a content module, click Existing Activities > External Learning Tools.

Click VitalSource.

Search for the textbook and choose the appropriate items.

Click Create and Insert to add the link to your module.
Insert a Deeplink to a VitalSource Resource (Optional)

Within the D2L Brightspace course, navigate to the Content tool.

Use View as student to confirm the link opens correctly and directs students to the appropriate VitalSource content.
