Recording on a webcam with the Express Capture tool

Want to record a simple video message using your webcam and microphone? Kaltura MediaSpace has you covered!

1. Go to https://mediaspace.minnstate.edu and login with your StarID and password  
2. Select "+ADD NEW" in the upper right-hand corner 
3. Select Express Capture
4. Make sure your webcam and mic have access to your web browser
5. Click the big red button to begin recording
6. Hit the stop button when you are finished, you will have the chance to review the recording
7. You have a choice to record again, download the video, or "Use This" which will save it to your MediaSpace Library
8. Change the name and add a description or tag
9. Click save at the bottom of your screen

We recommend publishing your video as "Unlisted" so you can share it with students. No one without a link will be able to view it.
