Recording screencasts with the Kaltura Capture tool

Want to record a screencast with the option of adding a webcam and voice-over? You can use Kaltura MediaSpace!

1. Go to https://mediaspace.minnstate.edu and login with your StarID and password  
2. Select "+ADD NEW" in the upper right-hand corner 
3. Select Kaltura Capture
4. The first time you do this, please follow the prompt to download and install the Kaltura Capture software.
5. From here, click on new recording. You have the option to record your screen, record your webcam, and record your audio.
6. Open up whatever visual you want to show or talk over.
7. In Kaltura Capture, click the red button to begin recording. It's now recording everything that's happening on the screen, including your voice.
8. Hit the stop button when you are finished
9. Name your recording and click Save and Upload.

Then you can edit and caption the video inside Kaltura MediaSpace. We recommend publishing your video as "Unlisted" so you can share it
